parkme booth at Mobile Monday at MIT

Yesterday, May 9th, the parkme team set up shop at the MIT Museum for an event put on my Mobile Monday Boston (@momoboston). It was a show case throughout the museum of the latest mobile applications, services and products from start-ups that have just hit the market or are about to hit the market.

Our booth got a lot of foot traffic as we were close to the entrance of the exhibit. In attendance was our founder, Eric Sonnabend, myself – Ashley Lojko (Marketing Manager), Mark Landman (CTO), Ben Brunt (Lead Graphic Designer), Kristen Haley (Brand Evangelist), Jamie Cioccio (Website Developer), and Mike Rowsey (Advisor). I found this to be a really great event and we spoke with a lot of people who felt they could strongly benefit from the ParkingApp. It was nice to talk to a mixture of avid smart phone users,  application developers and other interested parties. If you haven’t attended a Mobile Monday event yet, I highly recommend it!

Beatrice the Meter Maid

Beatrice the Meter Maid was a HUGE hit with the audience. Her gruff, northshore Boston accent made people laugh as we explained her role in the ParkingApp. Beatrice will tell you rules about where you are parking, what happens if you get a ticket and how much it will cost.

We’re looking for beta testers!

Do you have an iPhone or an Android smart phone? As we begin to roll out our application in the next few months, we need people like you to give us feedback about the ParkingApp and share it with your friends!
